I totally agree with the legalisation of gay marriage. personally, I think it’s disgraceful that where I live (England) heterosexual sex is legal at 16 years of age, but homosexual sex is illegal until 18 years of age. Where’s the fairness in that?

MARRIAGE IS A RELIGIOUS IDEA, historically, it is. I am not debating religions, I am debating the origin of marriage. That being said WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT INVOLVED IN THE MARRIAGE BUSINESS????
They need to get out of it and let people do what they want to do. Hence the above practical application of infringement of the Establishment Clause.
Is this to defend gay individuals, or are you trying to make an excuse for being gay. So the prostate in your G spot. Where is the G spot for lesbians……who cares!!! If you love someone whether they are male or female that is your choice. When you are in Love you could care less what the next man is saying much less what they think, so go ahead with your lover and live…… that is all that should count, not you trying to justify your reasoning in choice regarding gender and having sex with them
About me if someone is gay or not isn’t a problem… I think that a gay must have the same right of a man who love a women! (sorry for my english… I’m Italian…) But I live in a country where when a 2 boys hang around hand in hand every people watch them and have fear. Americans are luckyer from Italians because in Americn there isn’t a pope who say every day that God doesn’t approves gay’s marriages!
Although i believe in the moral superiority of homosexual love to heterosexual, i am against gay marriage because it sets marriage up as a desirable standard, thereby implying that the more enlightened possibilities available to a sexuality which has never had the institution of marriage. Rather than legalising gay marriage, heterosexual marriage should be abolished as a legal institution, as it is nothing more than legally sanctioned rape and slavery of women by men.
Love, schmove - civically speaking, marriage is an economic arrangement where 2 people share a household. Marriage benefits are society’s way of encouraging that arrangement. That’s all the gov’t should be concerned with, right? Not their sex life, or their gender. If society is worried about the sex of the 2 people, then it must be interested in encouraging the reproductive success of people in certain economic arrangements. That’s not all that unreasonable, actually. I think that’s what the anti-gay-marriage position comes down to, for those people who aren’t just homophobic. Well, okay, so most anti-GM folks are homophobic and those that aren’t, explain their POV as if they were either homophobic, or confused about the roles of religion and state. But I think this is the “real” reason why people resist the idea of state-administered gay marriage.
Personally, I think it comes down to pure sex discrimination. I agree with you; think a person’s right to be recognized as a family member of someone they share a household with, shouldn’t depend on sex. As long as society approves of 2-adult households and encourages them economically in law, then it should approve them the same regardless of who the adults are. As a society striving to be egalitarian, we have a standard of fairness to uphold. Besides, there is no reason whatsoever to believe that gay people who adopt and raise kids, are somehow a bad influence on society.
I am not for nor against. It is ones will and wish and it is their life. And hence, it is better not to worry too much on this subject/ topic.

For “pro” : Why you insisting marriage anyway? If you love each other it is enough!
For “againts” : Why you insisting they can not marry anyway? Without marriage they still have relationship that can not be broken by you.
