If you are just having a prostate biopsy, you are still as fertile as you were before the biopsy. The biopsy just takes several small core samples of your prostate. Your semen will be bloody for up to a month, but it still is potent. All of the rest of your equipment will function normally.
If you have you’re prostate removed, you are effectively sterile - you are not producing the seminal fluid to carry the sperm. If you wish to become a father, have your sperm frozen before having your prostate removed.
You can still have sexual relations after having your prostate removed if the cancer is caught early enough and you have a skilled surgeon who can spare the critical nerves.
