The only way to get a safe prostate check is by a doctor. Doing it yourself or having a very trusted friend do it is dangerous. It is very easy to damage the prostate or the lining of the rectum. I suggest going to a doctor you trust.
You can get some blood tests done, the results of which will show whether or not it’s normal or needs investigation. If the tests come back OK then you can relax.
Unfortunately not. You can have a blood test done, a PSA, Prostate Specific Antigen, that is can be elevated for numerous reasons, not just cancer. If it puts your mind as ease, just remember that when you defecate, it is larger than any doc’s finger. It’s just more of a offensive action.
Many years ago and probably still in third world countries, women had their cervixes checked thru the rectum instead of the vagina during childbirth. How’s that for feeling violated?
Just grit your teeth and get it over with!! My dad went thru prostate cancer 4 years ago and he spoke frequently about feeling violated. But just remember prevention is easier than cure!! Easier to be violated once yearly than 12 times a month.
Sorry. The only really reliable way is to bend over and take it.
