Because your proof doesn’t meet their most important criteria for a valid proof, namely that it proves what THEY want to prove.
When you want really badly to believe something, your mind can turn just about anything into evidence to support it.
Everyone turns to empirical evidence for truth until it conflicts with their pet beliefs. Such a conflict means their pet beliefs are wrong, but they will not acknowledge that.
I agree with chieko
Jesus in a grilled cheese isn’t intended to argue anything.
People who are so full of a single idea see it everywhere.
But you don’t find such enthusiastic believers shooting up shopping malls or doing anything else to harm people. They are too busy seeing faces in grilled cheese, a harmless fantasy. Serious believers avoid nonsense while at the same time maintaining civilized society with good morals and charity.
